Luxury apartment is the perfect place for sharing great times with friends
This stunning two-storey luxury apartment is one of four created in a converted farmhouse just outside the beautiful village of St-Jean-de-Sixt. Skilled craftsmen have used natural materials such as reclaimed pine and wrought iron to create a beautiful property with panoramic views. The same quality extends to the handmade furniture, fabrics and equipment - nothing has been left to chance. There’s plenty of outside space, with a sunny balcony and private terrace, both furnished, and a shared petanque piste. Chalets Lombardes L’Atelier is ideally situated just a short walk from the centre of St-Jean-de-Sixtes, and halfway between La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, so you’ll never be short of somewhere new to discover.
Stylish apartment combines designer chic with perfect location
A group of up to 5 friends or a family looking for a sophisticated base for their Alpine holiday could do no better than to check in to L’Atelier. Beautifully furnished and equipped, it combines contemporary luxury with practicality and Savoyard touches. Rustling up a meal will never be a chore, as the kitchen area has a picture window with glorious views over the mountains, and the dining table, with comfortable bench seating, is a great place to eat and discuss plans for the day. There’s a beautiful sunny terrace, perfect for a barbecue. The cosy bedrooms have feature wrought iron balconies, and fur throws, cushions and crisp white linen will ensure a good night’s sleep.
Perfectly placed to enjoy the wide variety of winter activities on offer
This luxury apartment could hardly be in a better location. Just a short walk from the bustling village of St-Jean-de-Sixt, the apartment is halfway between La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, so you’ll never have to ski the same route twice! A single Aravis ski pass covers both areas, as well as Manigod, giving you access to more than 200km of pistes and 95 lifts. Cross-country skiers will discover trails from St-Jean-de-Sixt, and when you get back to the apartment, just put your boots and skis in the heated ski store, ready for the next day. Non-skiers are well catered for too, and can go ice-skating or swimming in La Clusaz, where the heated indoor and outdoor pools are open all year round, or try snowshoeing, sledging, dog-sledding and sleigh rides.
Explore the mountains by foot, bike or on horseback or seek out a challenge
If you’re looking for an action-packed summer holiday you’ll be spoiled for choice at Chalet Lombardes L’Atelier. St-Jean-de-Sixt is the only place in the world where you can try Bun-J ride, a cross between ski jumping and bungee jumping! But other more traditional pastimes are available too - marked footpaths crisscross the mountains, many starting from the village, or you can explore by mountain bike or on horseback. There’s a fantastic swimming pool complex in Le Grand Bornand, but if you’re looking for something a little more challenging, there’s a climbing school, via ferrata routes, a tree-top adventure park, canyoning, white-water rafting and paragliding all nearby. Back at your apartment, live like the locals and indulge in a game of petanque on the chalet’s own piste.
Chalet perfectly placed to discover the highlights of mountains and lake
Under an hour from Geneva airport, Chalet Lombardes is ideally placed for discovering the French Alps. There’s a good choice of shops and restaurants in St-Jean-de-Sixt, and more in La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand. These villages also have weekly markets where you can pick up fresh local produce and Reblochon cheese. There are larger supermarkets in Thônes, just 10 minutes drive away. The medieval town of Annecy, 30 minutes by car, is a must for a day out, whatever the season. It offers a unique mix of shops, restaurants, galleries and museums, and Lake Annecy, said to be the cleanest lake in Europe, is a great place for watersports, swimming, cycling or just relaxing on the beach.
